Roman Prekop

Roman Prekop focuses on dispute resolution and energy sector matters. He acts in cross-border arbitrations, especially under the ICC and VIAC rules. He has advised on electricity and gas regulation, competition and projects in Slovakia, the CEE and Balkans regions. Roman is also active in corporate governance and insurance fields.

For several years he has been recognized as a leader in energy, dispute resolution, and corporate/M& in Slovakia by Chambers & Partners or Legal 500. He is recommended by WhosWhoLegal (Arbitration), listed in the Guide to the World's Leading Energy and Natural Resource Lawyers and in the Best Lawyers.

Roman is an Alternate Member of the ICC Court (6/2021 - 6/2024) and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). Roman is a co-chair of the Slovak chapter of New York State Bar Association’s International Section and a Supervisory Board member of the ICC National Committee in Slovakia. He is a member of the Slovak Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, International Bar Association, and Austrian Arbitration Association.
